Carol Merkl comes from a family of artists and studied fine art at the University of South Africa. She has recently made a career change to better utilise her creative talents.

Having started her jewellery making journey by studying beading and traditional silver smithing she soon discovered the delights of working with Precious Metal Clay and has been smitten by its endless possibilities and versatility ever since.

Carol has a successful business making and selling her fine silver jewellery and has now established her own studio in Coventry where she runs training courses and open studio days.

She has been running courses ever since completing her PMC certification and teacher training at The PMC Studio in early 2009.
